About the Event

Dr. Lauren Forsythe, PharmD, DICVP, FSVHP, from the University of Illinois Urbnana-Champaign College of Veterinary Medicine will present 2 hours of Opiod Veterinary CE. 

Learning Objectives:

  • Explain what a PDMP is and some potential pitfalls of these systems
  • Develop a legally compliant process for controlled substance recordkeeping
  • Explain to a pharmacy why a DEA and NPI number are not necessary for non-controlled substance prescriptions
  • Identify changes that can be made in daily practice to help prevent diversion
  • List signs of employee drug diversion
  • Explain the prevalence of drug diversion

This program has been approved for 2 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions that recognize RACE approval.
